Snoop Dogg Grows Marijuana in the Metaverse

Rapper Snoop Dogg, who is also an NFT enthusiast, brings a digital marijuana farm in the mob-themed metaverse project MOBLAND. The platform will host a branded digital marijuana farm in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and exclusive content from his son Champ Medici.

Mobland is endorsed by notable crypto personalities such as Twitch co-founder Justin Kan, Terra’s Do Kwon, and Animoca Brands. According to fxempire, the platform will pioneer the Grow-to-earn feature in the metaverse.

When it comes to flipping burgers at McDonald’s, be the best burger flipper in the world. Whatever you do, you have to master your craft. I have been mastering my craft for decades. My son showed me the importance of collaborating with MOBLAND to introduce the first digital weed farms like NFTs. There is a paradigm shift happening here and I want to be at the forefront of this,” said Snoop Dogg, quoted by Fxempire.

“I watched my father play video games all my life. Cannabis and game controllers live hand in hand with it, which is why I think it’s not a no-brainer to unite the metaverse and digital weed,” added Champ Medici.

Mobland is a metaverse based on Mafia-War, where players act as mobsters in their own mafia-style organization. The metaverse is set to launch its “commercial buildings” in the next two months.

This is not the first NFT project that Snoop Dogg is associated with. The famous rapper has already partnered with various cryptocurrency companies and has many collections of his own. Last month, he released a set of eight music tracks as NFT where ApeCoin (APE) and Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) perform as the theme.

In music NFTs, among other collections, ‘A Journey With The Dogg’, in association with Crypto.com, has been notable. Snoop Dogg is also a big collector at OpenSea. He recently released 10,000 playable avatars for metaverse use through The Sandbox.

Most recently, the rapper is now releasing a collection on Cardano of previously unreleased music, in partnership with Clay Nation. It will include limited edition Clay Nations plots.
